Tasty food isn’t always pretty. My phone photo, taken while sitting in my car, does this torta no justice. And of course I can’t remember the name of this sandwich. Something like pomzato? But what I can tell you is that it’s grilled torta bread filled with fried potatoes and chorizo, topped with lettuce, queso fresco, and tomatillo salsa.
I already know La Mixteca has great tamalaes. Next on my wish list is their Cubano, which also looks insanely good.
There are so many great choices at this unlikely little strip mall: India Cafe, Kabob’s, and La Mixteca. Not to mention the TBS Mart Indian grocery store for stocking up to cook Indian at home.
